I like simple, cause some people fill there scene with detail to hide some lack of composition.
But how you made the clouds on the spheres. Is that texture or HDR?

I made this in Photoshop trying to see if I could successfully emulate 3d to a point . I think its pretty convincing ,
So I guess its not a texture or hdri

If there was one thing that I’ld change, it would be to take out some of the reflections/shadows. Its good that you have them, but I think you have a few too many. It sort of overcrowds the image…

Exactly. Hw did you make the shadows so soft? Are those clouds envmaps, or actual reflactions of the environment? Beautiful work, though the shadows would look nce if they went out more in a direction

so it got me thinking . can I do TRUE looking 3d with photoshop …
Seems I have many in this thread convinced , although there is a few flaws . the shadows and light are not in line , and the red sphere is a little squished 
animation is next ! 
I like it a lot, not too busy well balanced, and strangely calming… :-?

I like it. At first glance I see the simple balls, the red one then draws my eye. Then as soon as I get bored and start thinking “huh, just three balls?” I got drawn into the depth of the balls and the nice clouds inside.
