end object with parented camera causing problems

Yo,

I have a character who is running around shooting things (creative, huh?). I have some turrets and some “footmen” that attack you, and then i have a shield property and a health property. I have it so when health=0 then it ends the object, adds an explosion object and adds the dead character object. I’m using a parented camera on my character, but when my guy dies the camera dies too. Sometimes the view stays in the same place as my camera, but most of the time the view switches to the old cetner of my object. I want it to stay in the same spot. Could someone help me out here?

You could replace the character mesh with an invisible one, or have an animation play of the guy dying then just leave him lying there until you press the restart button. If you REALLY want to use end object, you could have another camera copy itself to the main cameras position, switch cameras, then delete the character. There might be other solutions as well.
