I’m using a makehuman model, and have a (makehuman asset) ponytail on her. She’s walking along and turns her head to look at the clock, and the bottom part of the ponytail doesn’t move.
I’ve checked weight paint (all blue) and tried baking under particles and physics, to no avail. The vertices don’t seem to be attached to any foreign object.
It seems like it would be a simple fix, but can’t find it. I’ve attached two pics. Any comments would be appreciated.

I would say if the weight paint is all blue, that is your problem. You should add some weight paint to whatever bone group is controlling the pony tail so that it can move the ponytail. Or incorporate it into the head bone which would be something that you should really also do so that it has more versatility.
It’ll be a weight paint issue. Looks like a MakeHuman model. Normally their rigs work pretty well without modifications. All you need to do is go into edit mode on the ponytail, select all, and then in the Vertex groups, find the one for the main head bone, and select apply. It’ll be quicker and easier than weight painting it.
Thanks all for your input.
TheMuffiMan1 - I did the weight paint way a few weeks back, but what happened next was the hair at the nape of the neck started clipping the neck.
peter18 - yes it is a MakeHuman model. The Makehuman community, who I also reached out to, suggested the weight paint similar to the MuffinMan1’s post, but never mentioned you idea. I had to move on with the project, so I just gave her a shorter ponytail. However, I’ll give your idea a try later on for future reference. Cheers!
