Endless Bamboo

My goal was to create an endless loop of a camera slowly moving through a bamboo grove. I created a simple grove with randomly placed bamboo stalks and then repeated the grove five times in a row to make sure the distant view of the bamboo will look the same even 20% into the forest. This gave me the 15 seconds of continuous movement I could then repeat in a loop.

For the lighting I first went for a simple sun up to the left, but it was too dark and I wanted to have a more artistic green glow to everything. At the end I mixed a green emission shader to the volume scatter box that surrounds everything, which made it all look very mysterious and mythic.

The bamboo is based on JonhGillessen’s Bamboo models on Sketchfab Free Bamboo Set - Download Free 3D model by JonhGillessen [e9f9fa5] - Sketchfab with minor modifications to models and textures.
