Check this out, its a free edition of endorphin (“dynamic motion sythesis program”) that has ALL the features of the full $15,000 program, the only thing it doesn’t have is the ability to export (which is what makes the program worth while, and its saves in a special file that can’t be used elsewhere. In other words, it lets you see how amazing it is, while not letting you to make stuff with it(e.g. detailed model animation) I’d like to know what other people think of this product. It seems pretty cool, you should check out some of the demo videos
Has ANYONE tried it?
$15000 for an animating program? cool, but i’d rather get a car…
No kidding!
I haven’t read up on this, but I’ve seen it mentioned here and there. I’d check cgtalk.com for user feedback on the package. If there isn’t a separate forum do a search on it.

This isnt a package for individuals, rather for big studios doing major CG work in films and what not (just like massive). The asking price is not unreasonable as it will probably pay for itself in the first job done.
In my opinion what endorphin does will become a standard feature of 3d animation programs in the future, but thats a long way off. The ‘personal learning edition’ is a good thing, gives blender developers something to play with eh
Cheers,

yeah i agree, the PLE is just a thing to play around with and stuff, and for major studios it is worth every penny im sure. If you look on their website you can see some examples of things that used endorphin.
It would be cool to have similar technology in sports video games (especially football) because then no two tackles would be the same. Right now the use mo-cap and it isnt that realistic.
