Erm... I can't use IRC...

Hi people,
I’ve just attempted by first foray into the world of IRC (I know, where have I been all this time?!). I decided to use ChatZilla, since it’s semi-integrated into FireFox anyway.
Anyway, it basically didn’t work. I did the following:

/network freenode ¦A freenode tab opens.¦
/join #blenderchat
[ERROR] Command “join” must be run in the context of an attached server.
¦Bummer¦

Obviously, I’m missing something vital. Have I missed a command, missed some form of config or is it a problem with being inside a network?

I guess it means you are not truly connected to freenode. I got same message first but then I hit File\Reconnect to freenode and it worked.

Hmmm, it worked for moznet but not freenode.

OK, a bit more info…

I type /network freenode. A new tab opens. Then it goes:

[INFO] Connecting to irc://freenode/ (irc://irc.freenode.net/), attempt 1, next attempt in 15 seconds…
[ERROR] Connection to irc://freenode/ (irc://irc.freenode.net/) refused.
[INFO] Connecting to irc://freenode/ (irc://irc.freenode.net/), attempt 2, next attempt in 30 seconds…

Blablabla. Any ideas.

I guess the server was full when you tried to connect. That’s why the connection was refused.
