Error playing animations with sound

I have been trying for a long time to render my animation in blender 2.57 (for some reason the sound clips get distorted in 2.62 in the video sequencer) with sound and cannot get it to work. I discovered this tutorial (http://blendernerd.com/render-with-audio/) and thought alas my problems were solved. However, after following this tutorial step by step, I got an error message when I tried to play the mpeg file in quicktime or windows media player. The error said "Error-2041:an invalid sample description was found in the movie. I searched on the internet and some forums said you could solve this problem by changing the file extension to .3gp, but this did not work for me. Can anyone help me figure this out?

I attached the .blend. Just to warn you, the animation is only a preliminary one and needs some major work before the final render. I just want to figure this sound thing out first.

Also, I assume everything in the video sequencer will be saved with the .blend. Let me know if this is not the case.

Thanks so much

I still have no idea what’s wrong. But I discovered a forum which said to reencode the file with super 2012 (http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/SUPER-Download-23696.html) and this worked. Sometimes the work arounds to the obstacles I run into while blending just make me laugh. This is one of those times haha
