I have an error while starting up Blender, i am not really sure this is the right place to post…
When i start it up i get the error “This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found”, i redownloaded blender 2 times.
Btw, i have VS 2005 installed.
Sounds like this problem is fairly common.
Done the steps said in that page, and it still doesn’t work.
Hmm… I would try to search the for the .dll on the PC. If you find it, I would try to reinstall VS 2005. The problem doesn’t sound like it’s from Blender. BTW, I wouldn’t download version 2.45RC yet, stick with 2.44 for now.
I already reinstalled VS 2005, and i’m using the 2.44.
do a search on google for dll downloads
download the .dll file that is missing
put it in your windows/system32 folder then try it
if that doesnt work put it in your blender dir
