Even Auto-Quadder script available?

Is there a script that disects an all quad mesh into quads of the same size?
Take a simple plank for example: It is all quads, but the top polygon has a lot more size to it than the outer polygons.
This is bad if you want to displace uniformly or sculpt evenly.
Of course, you could just add loopcuts to roughly make it all even quads but I wonder if there is a script available that does just that automatically.
