Everything needs approval?

Everything I do here, whether it be posting a reply or a new thread, needs approval by a moderator before it can go up. I’m not questioning authority here, but I would like to know how and why this works…

  1. Aren’t there a lot of users here? If everything that every one of those users does needs approval, how do the people who do the approving keep up with all of them? Or is it just a delayed automatic system?

  2. It worries me sometimes because until the content does get approved and uploaded, I don’t have a way (that I know of) to tell if I have actually submitted it or if I did something and it didn’t get submitted. (email notification might be good?)

Any information that could make things easier here? Sorry if there was something I should have already been familiar with- I’m one of those annoying new users. :spin:
