here is some wip pics of my on the haunt entry (maybe) of some evil clowns. i wont say the idea i have for a background scene yet, but it should be great. http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clown2.jpg http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clownwip.jpg
Good modeling on that clown2 image. Can’t wait to see it textured (and with teeth!)
i don’t like clowns one little bit.
far too scarry for me
yours fits the bill
no advice at this early stage but i’ll e back when theres a bit more to see.
A big fluffy fringe of red hair around the head of clown2 would be wonderful. Don’t know how to make it look good though.
here is one with a quick bump map, i really need some help with UV mapping on the makup, i cannot get it to go on nice, it gets all screwed up. do i have to unrap the head to make it fit right?? http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clown2_2.jpg
I can’t wait for it to get better. Wowee!
yet another update, this is moving along pretty quick, i got the makeup as good as i can make it, and modeled a decent looking ear. IMO. http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clown2_3.jpg Edit: just threw in some eyes, the teeth will be next, i already have some made, just have to tweak them.
That is great. The meake up is excellent. On your UV mapping, is the mesh still a sub-surf or did you convert to standard mesh? If it is still a sub-d mesh, there will always be texture stretching when doing UV mapping. If you want 100% control over the placement of the UV’s, then you have to convert to standard mesh.
are you going to put hair on it
its looking good right now
the subsurf was converted to a mesh and textured that way, i learned that subsurfed meshes do not like UV mapping. I was planning on making some type of hair, not too sure on what style. i may tweak the makup a little, i would like to make it look dirty…its too clean right now.
That’s awesome. Now you need the freaky face paint.
valarking, you didn’t look at the most recent link, any way here is an update with teeth and gums added since the last post, also tweaked the skin texture. http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clown2_4.jpg
nice with the addition of the teeth now he is starting to look evil. Before the teeth I thought he looked just a bit friendly. But the teeth along with the manic gleam/look of his eyes are getting the job done. Nice picture.
Don’t do it too good! I want to win OTH3 and rule over Blender’s world!
/me goes over and kills the clowns.
They’re evil anyways… shurgs
GAH!!! that thing is creepy looking!!!
And it looks nicely done!!
hmmmmm…a little more evil, i messed with his eyebrows and forehead to make the mood a lil’ better, im still going to adjust the eyebrows more and add freckles to the texture. but i think he is def. looking much more evil, just compare clown2_4 with this one http://mysite.iptic.com/scrappy/WIP/clown2_7.jpg
Even better. Maybe you could try some pointed teeth. By the way did you ever see “Killer Clowns from Outer Space” now that was some evil clowns. This in no way implys that you are not doing a good job, you are. What is it about clowns that inspires fear and evilness in some people?
Good job on texturing the clownz makeup, just need that poofy hair and a red bulbous nose.
Reminds me of an 80’z movie, Killer Klowns from Outerspace, or something like that. Watched it when i was a kid and thought it was great, is this where you got your inspiration, or just on the well known fact that clownz are very scary thingz?
Keep it up, its looking fantabulious.
Blend on, and blend well!!!
Stunning work scrappy, (and I thought you could only model cars ).
Anyway, this guy is really starting to look freaky and very pissed off, which is a good thing.
