Try drawing up the the sides of the upper lip a little, right now he looks more like he’s very surprised (or maybe very stupid) rather than about to bite me.

Very nice composition. I would work on the
guy’s jaw a little – has kind of a wishbone
shape and perhaps sticks out a little too far.
