It’s Mal here, I used to work with NaN in the Holland creating some Blender content.
I was very excited to read the news recently about how Blender is coming back, and will be more openSource now! This can only help the community become stronger and help integrate more advanced features into Blender.
Myself and a colleague actually had a very cool Beetle car racing game with proper Python AI ( you could knock car’s off track ), good handling ( the wheels span and turned correctly, even in reverse ) and cool features like brake light glows and reverse lights!
It was very impressive at the time ( about a year ago ), and hopefully we’ll start working with it again when the blenderFund has purchased the source code and the blender train continues at full speed!
We might even convert the Balls Up game on our website to blender!

WoW it’s so nice to hear such a positive attitude from an ex-employee. I hope you were not effected by the downturn of the company (ie, you left for another job before any problems happened) I know many people must have been hurt by the demise of the company.
It really would be great if you could hang with us, give us a little insight once in a while Rumors are always interesting…
Ooops, there goes my “Lucy” side again (hubby accuses me of acting like Lucille Ball, but he acts like “Ricky”- so we’re even )
