Ex-Blender ( NaN ) employee: Well done to the community!

Hiya,

It’s Mal here, I used to work with NaN in the Holland creating some Blender content.

I was very excited to read the news recently about how Blender is coming back, and will be more openSource now! This can only help the community become stronger and help integrate more advanced features into Blender.

I am still in the field of online 3D, you can check out some of my work at…

I’m looking forward to getting back into creating some cool Blender3D web stuff, the community spirit is definitely missing in other 3D communities!

Keep up the good work!

Hello!!!

Welcome to the elysiun malDuffin!!!

I hope that means, you will continue doing some good work on Blender after it is opensourced!!!

Will you (please)???

Bye…

I will indeed Skontar,

Myself and a colleague actually had a very cool Beetle car racing game with proper Python AI ( you could knock car’s off track ), good handling ( the wheels span and turned correctly, even in reverse ) and cool features like brake light glows and reverse lights!

It was very impressive at the time ( about a year ago ), and hopefully we’ll start working with it again when the blenderFund has purchased the source code and the blender train continues at full speed!

We might even convert the Balls Up game on our website to blender!

WoW it’s so nice to hear such a positive attitude from an ex-employee. I hope you were not effected by the downturn of the company (ie, you left for another job before any problems happened) I know many people must have been hurt by the demise of the company.

It really would be great if you could hang with us, give us a little insight once in a while  Rumors are always interesting…

Ooops, there goes my “Lucy” side again (hubby accuses me of acting like Lucille Ball, but he acts like “Ricky”- so we’re even :stuck_out_tongue: )

I will indeed Skontar,

Yeahhh!!!

Good to have you with us malDuffin!!!

I hope you’ll enjoy “life” in elysiun…

I’m looking forward to see that game you mentioned, coming back to life.
Good luck to all your plans…

Hey Ingiee!!! What’s the problem with Lucy? I liked that show :stuck_out_tongue:
(just a joke, he, he…)

Welcome to Elysiun.
And those are some cool games.
Wann see them ported well to blender

Hiya all,

I’ll definitely be creating some really cool gameBlender content when the openSource development begins. This will hopefully be very soon!

> And those are some cool games.

Most of the graphics and the levels were actually created in Blender! They were then exported to another package that supported the .SW3D format.

Here’s another little game that would be ideal for a port to gameBlender with the web plugin!

Enjoy!
