Exact dimensions?

Hello, this is my first post and I am almost brand new to Blender, so please forgive any ignorance.

Can somebody share tutorials or just information on where I can input exact measurements for primitive shape faces and edges?

Thanks!

I dont think you can just select an object and type in demensions unfortunatley. Hopefully your good at math because its how I usually figure out things that need to be exact. And normall this means moving a vertice to a point I know is zero (relative) and I will, for example, extrude/duplicate/however you want, press the correct axis and type in the correct number. If you start with a plane from top view, click both the right side verts, press g, then x, then -1, and it should put you at zero, from there you should be able to figure out where to go.

Also for single verts not following an axis, you can also use the pivotpoint hot key (.) and scale your vert away from selection. This only works with one vertice, unless you want your selection to be scaled.

If you are very very new to blender, I wish I had better communitication skills to explain
