Exaggerated specular shapes with a toon shader/eevee

Hi, new to Blender here. I wanted to try and recreate this look in blender 2.8:

The ramped shading and outlines I have down, but I think what really makes that look is the mix of exaggerated triangular/square/and circular specular highlights. Any ideas?

Well specular highlights are direct reflections of the lights, so maybe try an hdri with those light shapes?

oh yeah! that could do it just hyper bright primitive lights. thank you!
