exclude bump

hi blenderheads,

on layer 1 i got a small bump and i want to exclude that bump from the second texture layer so that the red text is nice and smooth.

any help would be appreciated. I’m using 2.53


I am assuming that th ebump map in questions is a procedural texture?
The best way would be to make a UV bump map.

You may also be able to use blenders texture nodes actually. Make a mask of the text (text = pure white, background = pure black) and subtract that from the procedural bump map.
