I am working on a live-action/VFX scene using Blender’s camera tracker. One of the effects I am trying to do is explode a CRT TV glass screen. I want the screen to split up into shards and explode, with accurate collision on the ground plane. I already tried the Explode modifier, but I couldn’t get the desired results. The glass shards would just sit on the ground plane and spin, passing through the mesh. Also, they wouldn’t stop sliding. I had Dynamic Rotation enabled, which seemed to cause the problem. I also tried Fracture Tools, but it crashed. What should I do to get accurate collision and realistic friction, etc.?
