Export in 3ds - script requiredd for animation?

Hi,
I have created an animation in Blender and I need to export it in 3ds format, in order to then import it in another application.
The problem is that Blendeer exports just one frame and not the whole animation, it is a known problem? Does exist any script to fix this?
Thanks for help

I can’t believe that in 4
months nobody answered…

The .3ds format supports (if memory serves) only very basic vertex animation i.e. non boned animation, which may be the root of your problem. You didn’t exactly give much information - hence the lack of replies.

How about no, you can’t do it with any Blender exporter. There is no animation export support from Blender.

Thanks for reply,

The animation was very simple (a train moving on a straight line) so no bones modelling was involved. I have heard that 3ds files should keep the animation info, but probably that is not the case with Blender.

Thanks

S.

I can’t vouch for it from personal experience, but doesn’t .fbx export animation data?

Not true, the .b3d exporter has superb support for the export of boned animaions including strips from the NLA of merged actions. I use it regularly to export game models into Ultimate Unwrap and from there to any format I could possibly require.
