Export procedural texture as image file?


I’m just wondering if it’s possible to export procedural textures made with nodes in the material editor as a jpg or png file. I want to be able to open the model in Pepakura afterwards and retain the textures.


Yes it is, with baking. The process and baking options are different between render engines.

D’oh! I didn’t think of that! I’ve only ever baked AO and normal maps (in cycles). I’ve even seen all the other stuff and ignored it. Tha makes a lot of sense. I’m pretty new to 3d modelling.
