Export "UV'd" Texture?

hey, everyone
is it possible to export an texture that’s been shaped by UV mapping?

im using a straight texture on a curved mesh.
in Object Mode the texture is curved.
I’d like to export the texture in that shape (on the right)

is this possible?

Add a new UV channel, deform your mesh, and use “project from view” option when unwrapping, then bake to that channel from the original one.
