Exporting 3ds textures.

When I export my eagle character as a 3ds and then import it into an empty scene, all texture information is lost. I tought Blender supported this ?

If i understand you correctly, you export a mesh from blender to 3ds, just to import it into a new scene? If so you should rather use the append function wich workes flawless.
