Exporting Blender files to 3DsMax


I have never tried to export blend files to 3Dsmax files, but theres a really good chance that I need to in future. So I’m asking how well do the exported files to other software such as 3DsMax work. If you have 3D objects with textures etc. Will it work fine on 3DsMax if you open the exported files.

What kind of experiences you have?

Exporting to .fbx works very well. It will also export animation data :slight_smile:

DXF (without textures) & .obj with textures/UV’s, have been most successful. That was with Max 2010 Design using the improved import / export options.
