Exporting .fbx to Unity

Hi. I created my very first Blender model, a simple counter top. I exported it as .fbx file then imported to Unity. I dragged and dropped the model, but the materials are either missing or duplicated, so I can’t even reapply textures properly. The Unity tutorial I watched imported .fbx from Maya, and the model already had textures in place when dragged and dropped into the scene. I checked the materials and textures in Blender thoroughly but couldn’t find anything that might have caused the difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
