Exporting Materials to Bitmap File ??

Hello Gents,

My first post !! LOL !! Newbie !!

I have a question in regards to exporting object materials to a .BMP file.

My Scenario is:

I create say a building and a car, I attach different materials to the objects, when Iā€™m satisfied, I do a Ctrl-J to join them into one object. Now, My question is; Is it possible using Python to export and put all the textures or Material Colors associated to my new single object into a single Bitmap file. Of course I would assume that I would have to break the Bitmap file into sometype of array to hold all the textures colors.

Just curious if this would be possible, I can see where I can write the Material name to a txt file, but would like to Export the color to a bitmap.

Thanks for any help,

Many Cheers egor64 :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, instead of exporting to a bitmap !!

How about exporting something in-line to a UV mapping type of thing !!

Hehehe -> Would that not be the same thing ??

Anyways, I play around with a program called unwrapper, it can take an image of say 3ds or whatever and put all the textures into a UV mapping Bitmap file.

Is blender capable of this ??

It would be nice to unwrap the textures in Blender to a bitmap, there may be a way using python to do it !! LOL !!

many cheers
