Exporting mesh deform modifier from Blender to Unity

I created a model of a rabbit in Blender. This rabbit wears a jacket. I applied a [mesh deform modifier] to this jacket to make it move together with the rabbit. However, when exporting the animation as fbx this modifier will be applied and the jacket will stay in the same place instead of moving with the rabbit. I want this animation to be played in Unity. Is there a way I can keep this modifier in Unity or applied, export it in a way in Blender so that it keeps working?
