exporting textures from model

i have a model i want to export as a .lwo,
i can do that fine,

but when i export i can’t seem to get the textures to map in my program i import them in,

i have a .3ds model with one texture and 3 color materials mapped on it,
is there a way to export and save as a .lwo and have all materials and textures so when i import them in my other program(ut2004), they will look as they do in blender,

basically when i export my model the color materials aren’t exported,
and the model has only one texture map, and it won’t work that way,

any hints or links you can point to to help me with this,
ive searched but still weeks later, i cant do it
