I have Pit ( or “icarus kid” ) from ssbb on my computer ( with Gigabowser, Mario, and Toon Link ) which I would like to export to pepakura to make it Papercraft ( in case you don’t know that is it’s paper models of 3d things, link: http://nintendopapercraft.blogspot.com/ )
the problem is when I export the characters and import them in pepakura the colors are there, but the textures aren’t :(.
By the way pepakura only imports: .Pdo, .6kt, .6ks, .obj, .3ds, .dxf, .mqo, .iwo, and .stl.
This could be one of several reasons.
To narrow it down, open the exported obj file with a text viewer, and search “Material” keep going until you find an entry that says something like.
Material Model_Map {
0.800000; 0.800000; 0.800000; 1.000000;;
3.000000;
0.500000; 0.500000; 0.500000;;
0.100000; 0.100000; 0.105000;;
TextureFilename {“Model Map.png”;}
Ensure that path is correct, and that the texture map exists, also if that last line is not in the text file, it means you havent assigned the texture correctly in the material/texture panel. There was a problem with earlier exporters, where this was broken, and we had to manually add the
TextureFilename, but the latest version works ok I think.
