exporting to an x file

Why is it when I create something in blender, export it as an x file, and then open it up in another program it’s not the same size as what it was in blender?

Dont know for sure but at a guess id says its because blender works in blender units and directx works in its own units.Make something at a length of one unit in one application ,import it into the other and measure it to find out the converstion value that you have to scale it to.
