I rendered a scene using the latest Blender CVS build and I choosed to export the resul as EXR, but the resulted EXR image cant be readed by the image viewer (XnView). Is something wrong with the EXR implementation or what? XnView can read others EXR files.
I also downloaded the OpenEXR binaries (OpenEXR-1.2.2-win32.zip) from http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/openexr/OpenEXR-1.2.2-win32.zip but I dont know how to use this with Blender. How to link this pakages together?
Use exrdisplay.exe to view .exr images.
The easiest way is to SHift-RMB on an .exr file, then follow the “open with/choose program” dialogs to set exrdisplay.exe as the default viewer for .exr files.
