Extended Character Set in Text

Dear Community,

I am using Blender Publisher 2.25 for Windows. When adding a text, I can find no way to add special characters. I am using the default blender font but nothing appears when I press e.g. the keys for the German Umlaute ä, ö, ü. I know that I can use Elefont for this but I would like to add them in Blender. is there a way to do this?

Umlaute (e.g. ä): akey, ALT-Backspace, Quote (")
There are a lot of other combinations with Alt-Key, just try it e.g Alt+C, Alt+S

thanks a lot for your quick reply. It works great for me. And even better, there will now be a hit when someone searches for “Umlaute” as I did :wink:
