Hey all,

I’m fairly new to Blender. I’ve got a video clip (or more accurately, a series of video clips) and a 3d model that I can match onto the object in the video clip (having match-moved the camera). The video is a helicopter shot that rotates around the roof of the skyscraper. What I want to do is extract the texture from the roof of the skyscraper and place it on the roof of the 3d model so that I can view it from new angles rendered from Blender.

Clearly, each from of the video footage gives a slightly different (always oblique) view of the roof surface. Can anyone tell me how I would go about best extracting the texture from the various frames of the video of the roof, in order to apply it to the model?

Does anyone know of any tutorials or explanations that doing this?

Steve
