I have been using blender for a while now and I absolutely love it. However, recently I have encountered a problem that makes it almost impossible to enjoy 3D modeling. Whenever I try to start up Blender, whether it be through Steam or from the Blender website, it takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour before the program loads. I have never had this kind of issue in the past and I am quite worried. I recently upgraded from a Radeon 7770 to a GTX 970, so I hope this issue is not related to that. I have 16GB of DDR3 and an i5 3570 processor. In addition, when Blender does finally load, it is insanely laggy. Orbiting around just in a blank scene moves at around 12 frames a second. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Blender several times and running it as an administrator. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
The easiest way to run Blender is…Just download the ZIP file for Your System…Here…https://builder.blender.org/download/
Yod don’t NEED to INSTALL Blender…Unpack the the Zip file to where You want Blender to be.
Go to the folder and Click Blender.exe
And Blender should load in a few second.
How did You start up Blender from Steam…?
