Extrude On long Path


I was wondering if this was possible because this would be perfect for polygon hair modeling in blender.

Use an Array modifier (set to Fit Curve) followed by a Curve modifier

THANK YOU THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I only have another question and that is when I sub surf it looks weird. Like I sub surf it and each segment looks like an individual plane. Is there a way I can sub surf the whole thing?

Delete the end faces of the cube that join together to remove the internal faces that they cause by the array
