I’m looking to cut out a circle from an extruded shape, so cut out an extruding circle. I’ve found guides but they’re mostly for 2D circles.
Of all the guides I’ve found for doing this, I can’t get any of them to work.
[it won’t let me add the URL to this thread, but the thread that details 3 methods] seems to be the main guidelines, but I can’t find a way to make an extrusion of a cut out shape.
This is what I’m aiming for:
[Well… the forum won’t let me add any images either so you’ll just have to use your imagination, think of it as me wanting to make a straight hollow pipe, where I already have the extruded cylinder.]
I managed it, but only by removing both top and bottom faces, adding and extruding a circle where I wanted then selecting 1 container and 2 circle vertices and at a time and hitting F - basically, it took far longer than it should have and was relatively mindnumbing. (not sure how to do them all at once, Auto didn’t work)
I’ve tried the Bezier methods but simply can’t figure them out for cutting out a circle from an existing 3D shape.
A method of linking the faces in groups would be enough, instead of having to do them one by one.
Any help would be much appreciated.
