Extruding 'multi-planar' curves?

I’d like to be able to extrude curves that are not just 2D/flat, but actually GO OUT IN SPACE (wooo), you know, 3D curves… and then extrude them… Sketchup (TIG dude) has some amazing tools for this, wonder if this is doable in here too… and actually make a solid out of it, which, franky, is highly problematical in SU …

Made a explanatory vid for this:

Cheers guys,

Peter

Not directly
Look at Grid Fill
Loft one curve object along another curve object when set as the bevel object https://www.blender.org/manual/modeling/curves/editing/extrude.html?highlight=bevel#advanced-extrusion
Use array and curve modifiers to extrude one object along a curve https://www.blender.org/manual/modeling/modifiers/introduction.html

Resolved question

Hey guys, if anyone’s interested, you can actually Export OBJ’s (get the OBJ Exporter plugin) from Sketchup, import and Sculpt on stuff, like nobodies business…

A shito illustrational pic…

Thanks for the links, although really helpful… but still not what I am after… it would make things so easy, it would make a huge difference being able to extrude and connect 3D curves not only in a linear fashion, but really, you know…

Imhotep knew this. Moving not in angles, but curves will make you free…
