Hello Blender friends, the project (Blade Of Hell) I’ve been working on, fit in with the BWC contest and It’s the same deadline I have. Even though I’m pretty new to blender, I figured what the heck. I love Blender and the support it has! Why not. It does take me a long time but I guess it’s that learning curve I just hope I get it done in time.
Well here is an eye test I modeled and textured That’s the color I was going for. I’m not really going for super realistic more of a comic book/anime style.

Well here’s more sketches. YES, still in that stage but the good thing is that I have the whole scene planned.
What I’m working on, is a half demon, dragon, human all in one and I decided to share my process.
I make several pass on a character before I finalized and create it in 3D.
This charcter’s head is almost in the final stage don’t have a body yet so that’s up next.

The eye looks very similar to Pablo’s eyes on Venom’s Lab, at least the same iris image. Nothing really to critique there, it looks good! They will be perfect on the guy with the crazy beard!
Well I drawn the body, I like it so far It’s time to draw the body blue print to model from.

Well thanks for the boost of confidence, I too hope my sculpting is as good as my drawings, I guess we’ll just have to see?

Looks great. The one thing that comes to mind is that maybe the eye should have some blood vessels running through it.

you drawing skills are awesome like jeepster said if your modeling matches up than there is a good chance of you winning.

Yes your correct I got that Venoms Lab CD, IT’s Great learning tool.
For the guy with the beard I’m afraid he won’t be in the final image of my BWC but he will be in my project. So I’m still going to sculpt him.

Here’s an update! Changed a couple of things, Still not done with details but it’s a start
Sculpted in Z-Brush That’s mostly what I did. Oh, and used cylinders and cubes to make gums, teeth, and horns in blender. (not yet sculpted)
This is amazing indeed, you are very likely going to win with such skills. Sketches are beyond amazing, professional stuff. Modeling\Sculpting comes along really nicely too.
I also dig the the concept of both the creature and the mad monk. Kind of reminds of Blizzards Warcraft undead abominations (the fat form, frankenstein like body part madness) only much much cooler.
