Eyebrow on Subsurface scattering?

I have a blender character with subsurfacing scattering activated for the skin. It looks great, however, I’v been trying to use the texture paint layer manager to paint eyebrows on the subsurfaced texture. The result is: the brush stroke is too light due to the subsurface scattering.

Question: Is there a way to paint on a subsurface scattering texture without the paint stroke being influenced by the subsurface scattering? Attached are two pdfs: Before, and Rendered.
