F curve in the Logic editor defunct now I would imagine?

I’m trying to get a mesh object working as a lift without any control.

I viewed a clip which is from a number of years back, the narrator of the clip displays he uses an F curve for the logic so that it works in the engine. He used the timeline to create the frames which is still the easiest way or only way or one of the few ways to get an object to go up and down.

So what replaced the F curve?

The action actuator replaced f curve

A) Graph Editor (Editor type) - F-Curve mode (Default)
B) Dope Sheet (Editor Type) - Action Editor mode

You can find both at the Animation screen layout of the default file.

You can still create keyframes with <i> from within the 3D View Editor
