looks cool, it reminds me of some of the characters from ‘car-toons’, ( not sure if you’re familiar with it, it was a comic dating quite a few years back ) but the tongue seems a bit square to me, it seems like it should be rounder and maybe a bit more exagerated.
are you sure that’s a normal problem? it looks kinda like the green visor is clipping through the goggles
Modron - thanks! Fixed up the tongue, and nup, I haven’t seen Car-Toons.
louielouie - I’m not sure what it was, but I think you might have been right, it’s fixed now
Alex: Scrolling down through the images, I only see him getting better. However, the ears look kind of plastic. If this is what you wanted then spot on.
Again I think the rodent’s body looks too clean; the teeth don’t seem to suggest so though.
All in all the 4 hours were worthwhile.
jc4life: thanks for pointing that out, I’ve been having trouble with the shader. I tried to dirty it up a bit, but the change is so subtle, you wouldn’t be able to notice it. I’ll try adding some more procedurals, and mess with the shader a bit more
Haha. I love the concept. Just the tip of the banana is wrong, unless you’re going for that intentionally. I think it would look better with the little dark part on the banana’s apex. You could make a ventilation grill out of it or something.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to do the end of the banana, (I was thinking of the brown bit) but that grill idea is so sweet! Thanks!
btw, I won’t be here for a week (Commonwealth Games), so there won’t be any updates.

Commonwealth Games are over, I came back today. this is what I managed to get done:

I do think you’re in some sort of limbo though. It might look better if you for either a “dirty” look or a “cartoony” one… this “in the middle” thing doesn’t really do it.
should try a render in a cell shaded/cartoon style look for comparison.
