It seems to me that the frame is on the ground…

but beside that it is a nice image.

Great start. I agree about the ground clearance issue.

BgDM

Great start - the tyres look a little on the wide side though.

One thing -

If a bevel beveller could bevel bevels, how many bevels would a bevel beveller bevel, if a bevel beveller could bevel bevels?

Looks good so far.

Blender has recently increased the vertex limit (actuall, could be faces, damn thats gonna annoy me for ages) from 64000 to 2 billion.

The main limiting factor would be you computer.

wicked design! but seem’s too flat, one bump and thing will split in 2.

Hm what will the engine look like? Gnarly chrome pipes? Chrome blower?

Argh… I am becoming predictable hehe… yeah there’s going to be lots of chrome stuff and lots of wing bits n stuff to keep it stuck to the ground.

nice, I like the design… that things huge man its like the size of a monster truck; even bigger. If the engines on the back when you floor that thing its gonna go backwards.

How did you get the “candy” color?

Candy means that you apply one color, like yellow, and add a bit transparent red on top of it and the color looks tight.

You seem to have the same, how did you do that?

Probly a red color with a yellow Spec color… it is a great paint job even though no details yet…

Yup it’s a dark red… Red 0.500 (nothing else in col) 0.800 ref lambert shader. And a hard yellow spec (1.14 spec, 511 hardness). and it’s got a raymir of 0.48 with a fresnel of 2.0. The fresnel is really needed in this… the chrome all has 0 fresnel, but that wouldn’t work here.

I have to say that I don’t like it. :frowning: If i had just seen this angle I would have not guessed it was an F1 vehicle. it looks like spots on a mountain. All the car details in the middle are lost to a bunch of bumps. The rivets are too small to look good, and what f1 car, or any high speed vehicle has little contrasting colored dots all over it? I think converting those to a bump layer would be good, to show just a hint of mechanics on the surface.

What is with those white spots(rivets?) they look horrible and unneccisary on a seamless surface.

agreed, rivets are bad. use a few mounting clips, but only like 4 per section. so about 4 in total ;).

cool design. a bare engine wouldnt look as good as a mostly covered engine though…

you should change the rear wheel so its not just a large scaled version of the (too wide and small) front wheels.
