F12 render view shows meshes that are invisible in the viewport (newb)

When I hit f12, it shows several meshes that have the little eyeball shut, despite the viewport only showing what is visible. viewport render preview looks great, f12 render looks like ass.

There are several bodies in the same location, as i have duplicated them so I can change them later down the road. These meshes are invisible in the viewport.

I think I have some box unchecked or something.

Any help greatly appreciated

Try the funnel icon in the outliner to show other visibility options.
