Face Lip Sync

Does anyone know of any good resources for rigging a face for a Lip Sync. I know shape keys are useful for this situation as well.

I followed the BSOD animation tutorial and successfully did some simple lip synching by use of shape sliders, and though basic, it worked surprisingly well.

As I understand it, the key to any lip synching is to first define different facial shapes for each basic phoneme. From there you can attach your voice recording and manually apply keyframes.

Might be better/easier ways. I’ve barely begun diving into it myself. But the results are impressive. I thought it would be a lot harder.
