Face orientation and transparency

I have a cube with one face that is detached and that face has a transparent material.
Ive turned on face orientation so you can see the inside of the cube is red. However, the red is not showing through the transparent material.

Is this possible, is there a way I can show the red part behind transparent materials?

Im using blender 4.5.1

Im in solid mode, face orientation on, x-ray mode on. I have the same issue in material preview mode.

Transparency doe snot show in solid mode even wehn set in Viewport Display → color..

Display of transparency in matePreview depends on settings of blend mode…
in 3.6 (on my interent PC) this does show transparency but not the coloring with AlphaBlend and the coloring in AlphaHashed (the dithering seems to be some driver issue only using the iGPU)
