Faces emitting Light in BGE

I am creating a game on Blender and I want certain faces on an object to emit light on to objects near it and its other faces. I already turned on GLSL and Blender Game engine and the emit setting. What should I do?

Emit doesn’t work in the game engine the way it does in the blender renderer. There is no ray tracing. The object will be bright and less effected by light, but not emit. What you need to do is add a spot lamp facing the same direction, parent it and adjust the settings, such as color, strength, size, etc. To fake the effect.

There’s an SSGI shader that does the same job, by Martinsh. though, it’s currently unusable because of performance.
