Faking weird specular highlight in Blender Internal

Hi everyone,

does anyone know how to fake this kind of specular highlight / reflection on the back of this cellphone?

Why fake anything? Isn’t that basically anisotropy (check “Tangent Shading”)?

Other than that: Create a very basic texture with the pattern you want to see in any image editor of your choice, UV unwrap the phone and set the texture’s influence to the specular channels (texture is just a sample - needs more effort):
