I’m wondering if it is possible to have my scene gently fade to transparency at the camera clip-end, instead of abruptly ending.
- You could animate Fog / Mist to make it appear that your scene is smoothly going out of existence. Kind of a like a dream or flashback that is ending. Fog / Mist can be found under:
Properties Editor - Render Properties - Volumetrics
- You could parent a plane mesh in-front of your camera and animate the plane’s base color/alpha. This isn’t the best approach, but it gets the job done.
- You could use compositing to fade-in / fade-out your render view.
