Hello
I am in need of a famous painting for art class. We need to re-create a pinting on the face of a clock, so I need to find something to re-create. I know I have seen a couple of famous artists mentioned on here, but I just can’t remember their names. So if someone could give me a few names to look up, that would be really helpful. If possible I would like it to be a fun painting, meaning abstract or crazy looking like the painting of the melting clocks.

uhm it’s probably a little late but Salvador Dali would be the best for painting on a clock if you want something trippy and famous

And, no offense intended, but I’m pretty horrified that you need to ask for names of famous painters. What are they teaching in schools these days?
Thanks for the names. I really bad with names, and this is still a high schools art class. We haven’t gotten to many artists yet.
And I knew of Picasso, and I’ve heard of Dali, I just couln’t think of many off hand.

Yup. My teacher has her masters in art. Right now we are learning composition.
“The Scream” one is by Edward Munch, a Norwegian painter.
