Faux Fillets

Evening, does anyone know if it’s possible to fake a blend/fillet/bevel in Blender? I ask because I want to avoid having to join two pieces of geometry together. See example picture for what I’m trying to achieve. I’d like to get that joined look without physically joining the geometry and adding in the bevel later.
