Memento, Lost Highway, the Dead-trilogy, Hellraiser, Cube, Hana-bi, Sonatine, Apocalypse. Now, Event Horizon, Funny Games, original Godzilla (Gojira), pretty much all old (from '20’s to 60’s) horror/scifi movies… those are the ones that come to mind right now
Hated… well, I don’t hate any movies per se, but if a movie includes too realistic violence (Italian cannibal movies, such as Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox), bizarre porn (animals, kids, necrophilia…) or such things, I don’t want to see it in any circumstances.
Green…Office Space…excellent movie, but not good to watch when your supposed to be working!!
Favorites: Good Will Hunting, Office Space, Enemy of the State, A Beautiful Mind, Contact, Antitrust, Gladiator, The Whole Nine Yards (Amanda Peet! ) … probably more I’m leaving out
Favourite: hmm… big list… ok, apart from those I listed in CJ#3, here are a few more: Ronin, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Das Boot, Final Fantasy.
Hated: without a doubt, this is Daylight. When I go to a cinema, I’ll sit through just about anything, but I walked out of this crap (when the dog survived the big explosion :x )
I like:
The Matrix
All James Bond
Most of the star wars movies (exept episode 1, it sucked)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (don’t even try to argue with this one, it rulez
I forgot that! Thank you, acasto, for unknowingly reminding me about “A Beautiful Mind.” That’d be a mathematical explanation of how bad my memory is.
“Have you met Harvey?” “What? John, there’s no one–” “Yes. There’s no point to being nuts if you can’t have a little fun.”
That reminds me: “I Am Sam” is another good movie I forgot! Goes to show how much of a 7-year-old I am.
Oh, “Moulin Rouge” and “AI: Artificial Intelligence” are good movies from last year. And though it wasn’t from last year, “And Now For Something Completely Different” was hilarious (“Holy Grail” doesn’t come very close), and, well…
Donnie Darko
Lord of the Rings
The Shining
Princess Bride
Shrek
AI
Akira
Ninja Scrolls
Labyrinth
Dark Crystal
Dune (The Original)
Quigley Down Under
Tombstone
Unbreakable
Umh, lost highway, can u explain to me what it’s actually about. I thought it was like the beginning of a X-Files episode all through. Didn’t get a thing .
spiderman
Jaws
Resident Evil
The scorpion king
Scary Movie 1
Kickboxer
Rush Hour 1
End of days
Romeo Must Die
…i can’t remember more movies right now
hated:
Hannibal
anything with Hulk Hogan,Shaquil Oneil and Will Smith(man they suck!!!)
monkey bone
blast from the past
encino man
George of the jungle
(yes i hated Brenda Freezer!!! he he! )
Not Another Teen movie (what a crap!!!)
Orange County (God!!!..no comments)
From Hell…
if i continue,i’ll never finish+ i can’t remember more right now…i’ll add more later and remember…there’s a lot of junk out there! LOL
another hated movie: Kung Pow…people, please,if anybody feel the urge to rent this movie, please shoot yourself!!! or better go watch Barney the dinosaur…the only “good” thing about this movie was the fight with the cow.if you ever rent this movie, skip to the cow scene and when it’s over, eject the movie and throw it to the trash(you will be doing blockbuster a favor).LOL
I had a feeling it was stupid (Kung Pow: Enter The Fist), and my brother doesn’t care. He read what you wrte, and got angry at Brenda Freezer, Will Smith, and Kung Pow. PS: Spider-Man and Jaws suck!
Eric: That might be the point of the film. Try drawing conclusions from what you didn’t get. Or go to www.imdb.com
Free Mars: Yay! Someone other than me liked “Unbreakable” more than “The Sixth Sense.” (BTW: If you have no clue of what I’m talking about, both have M. Night Shymalan as a director, who recently directed “Signs.”)
CubeFan973: Yeah, your memory must really suck! How could you forget those films? Those rocke–oh, wait, that’s me!
Pooba: “And Now For Something Completely Different” was funnier than “Monty Python And THe Holy Grail.” Still… ni!
Ecitizen: It seems that I’ve also forgotten “Final Fantasy!” Who could forget how real those people looked? Then again, I just payed attention to the movie’s plot and not their faces and how real they looked–a testament to how good the “animation” was. PS: Why do they consider it a bomb, even though it got the #2 spot on opening weekend?
Acasto: You mean “Tttttiiiiiitttttaaaannnniiiiicccc.” “Titanic” is just too short for a film that length.
Jolly Gnome: You mean “Otnemem.” And you liked “Plan 9 From Outer Space?”
Green: Lord Of The Rings? (Yawn) Memento? (Wakes up) Office Space? (Don’t know)
If he likes Brendan Freezer that’s his problem…he he he! I like Rachel Weis better(from the Mummy) . i don’t think spiderman sucks.i have to see Lord of the rings yet(the super nintendo game sucks!)Will Smith sucks too,he think he is the sexiest man alive!!! how stupid!Shaquile O’neli and the lakers suck big time!!! And i hate Hulk Hogan!LOL he he he!
Actually I liked Hulk Hogan (Not his wrestling roles, good guy, bad guy, good guy, bad guy, …). Only all the films he plays in are a waste of time. He could have been a nice action star. But he is not.
So at least one other likes twelve angry men. only he is not on this forum.
A cliffhanger… although having to listen to my brother and the movie now (my brother rented it… I know, it’s annoying, but you should hear him) is making me want to hang myself over the edge of a cliff. Maybe that’s where it came from.
Actually, they did that because they have “The Two Towers” and “Return Of The King” coming, even if there were no box-office reciepts (sorry, just a moment of fantasy)!
PS: Saw “The Majestic” today. It was pretty good, even if the blacklist didn’t end that early (It ended about 1960, when the real blacklisted writer got credited for “Spartacus” rather than someone else) and if there is too much coincidence for Luke and Peter looking the same (I was half-expecting Peter to actually be Luke, who would have gotten amnesia and joined Hollywood).
