FBX to UDK ohhh snap.

Okay, let me just say how much I hate UDK… okay that is out of the way; now here is my question. I have exported my blend file as a fbx. In UDK I load it, and everything works great except one thing, the armature is 2d. It appears as if someone sat on it. Animations are there, model is there, armature is there; but it is so distorted that I is useless. I played around a bit with the .psk psa exporter and am getting it to work with some success; but I want to be able to use fbx file formats as well. Anyone have any ideas what may be going on?
